The Council of Venice keeps a yearly budget in place so as to offer an ongoing, lucrative bounty on the devils and demonic forces that emerge from the gateways to the Hell Dimensions (which do open from time to time). A Hell gate has been sighted near a heavy population zone. Letting it linger is to invite Hell-on-earth. A proper abjurer or exorcist is already on the way. What's needed now is heavy power and ordinance to exterminate the emerging demon-spawn until the infernal portal can be properly sealed. |
