The Marquard Mansion...

The wards flicker. The wards waver! We can see, Sweetling. Not directly, but in the periphery. We catch glances at what was denied to us. The family home. The happy home. The horrors that hide behind the smiles of portraits.

They are the face of the Morninglight. The perfect family. The hollow smiles of a 1950s TV land family. The cultists tune in. It's their favourite show. The laugh track plays. The dead laugh. They have no choice.

There's Philip Marquard, the handsome patriarch.

There's Elisa, the beautiful matriarch.

There is Katherine and Alexandre - daughter and son.

And of course, there is noble Tiberius, the family dog.

Watch the nuclear family come together. Cell to cell. Watch them bond through active transport. See them coalesce. Gestalt! Philip Marquard asked for the perfect family, and the Outer Dark provided. He tends them with all the obsession of a man fetishising the green god called “lawn”.

There's the family friend, Berihun. Uncle Beri! What sort of zany hijinks is he up to this week?

Berihun plays with a toy. Pieces of Third Age tech co-opted and mashed together. No mortal of this age should know how to do this. But the Marquards have unusual patrons.

Berihun practices his control of the metal juggernaut. He's got murderous mischief in his eyes.

Oh, Uncle Beri! Classic Beri! No one but Beri!

Below the mansion, down in the basement depths, is Phillip Marquard's inhuman cave. Here he can have refuge from his family. But he loves his family! But sometimes he needs to escape them.

Down here, he keeps his hobbies. Here he experiments on his captives. He has supernal fauna of all types. He has agents from all the major secret factions. He takes great pride in this.

Appears in the basement in the sabertooth's cage after opening the cage and freeing the beast (275,415) in the middle of the room. To open the cage, collect the key from the icebox by the basement fridge and then use it on the cage. Be prepared, as the sabertooth is quite deadly once freed. Requires Mission: Into the Fold
