Tier 1

Objective: Look through Kurt's discarded pile of Orochi technology

Go to Kurt's nearby discarded pile of miscellaneous Orochi technology (390,600).

Objective: Pick up and examine the strange looking device

Take the strange device from the crate.

Tier 2

Objective: Find a safe spot to test the device against nearby creatures

The middle of the crossroad (415,635) looks like a nice, open space. There certainly aren't any cars to get in the way.

Objective: Deploy and activate the device

Place the device in the middle of the streets within 60 seconds.

Objective: Defend the device against the agitated creatures

Kill any agitated Filth Evolved attracted to the Entrapment Device. Don't let the device's HP reach 0.

The final wave is that of an Infected Colossus

Objective: Retrieve the device

Pick up the device now that its duty is done.

Tier 3

Objective: Find another location to safely test the device amongst demonic foes

The nearby Oni are certainly demonic enough to try. Go to the coast north of the Pachinko Parlor (450,885).

Objective: Deploy and activate the device

Place the device within 60 seconds.

Objective: Defend the device against the agitated demons

Defend the device against swarms of Oni Invaders.

Defend the device against the final demonic foe, Shuten-doji.

Objective: Retrieve the device

Take the device now that the demonic onslaught has ended.

Tier 4

Objective: Find another location to safely test the device amongst spectral foes

Go somewhere where many, many spectres can be found. Luckily, there are a plethora of spectral foes east of the Dream Palace. A nice, inviting alleyway awaits (730,670).

Objective: Deploy and activate the device

As with before, deploy the device within 60 seconds.

Objective: Defend the device against the agitated creatures

Defend the device as it entraps the spectres. The Filth Evolved strike once more.

Objective: Wait for the Entrapment Device to stabilize

Wait five seconds as the device stabilizes.

Objective: Defeat the enraged spectre amalgam

Defeat the Wailing Gestalt that has formed from the amalgamation of the entrapped spectres.
