Scrapyard Defence gives the Loyal Hound as a First Time Completion Reward.

Tier 1

Objective: Locate the first batch of defences

Go to the front of Edgar's Scrapyard (605,665). A series of barrels line the fences outside of it.

Objective: Pick up one of Edgar's toys

Pick up one of the blue barrels against the fence.

Doing so replaces your Ability Bar with special temporary abilities.

Temporary Abilities Acquired

Edgar's Toys

  • Abandon Defence - Special Ability. Put down Edgar's defences to resume normal combat. WARNING - You will not be able to use Edgar's toys again without restarting the defence. 3.0 second cast. Instant cooldown.
  • Pulse Grenade - Special Ability. Throw a pulse grenade, dealing moderate damage to up to 3 targets in a 5m radius. How did Edgar manage to cobble together something so effective? 1.0 second cast. Instant cooldown.
  • Flaming Barrel - Special Ability. Place a barrel at your feet. The barrel sets enemies on fire in a 3 meter radius and will explode after 15 seconds. Instant cast. 10.0 second cooldown.

Objective: Place a Flaming Barrel near the barricade

Move to the barricades down the road (620,640) and use Flaming Barrel near either of the Scrapyard Barricades to place a barrel where you stand.

Objective: Go to the assault starting point

This objective automatically completes, as the previous objective requires that you already be at the assault starting point.

Objective: Defend the barricades

Defend the barricades from two waves of 6 Tar Men each using the abilities available to you. The Scrapyard Barricades fall fast to enemies if given the opportunity to be damaged.

If you fail to defend the barricades and they both are destroyed, then you will not progress to the next Tier and the Objective instead becomes:

Failure Objective: The barricades fell. Return to Edgar

Return to Edgar (610,675). Doing so will restart the Tier from the beginning.

This Failure Objective is available at all Tiers (1-3) of Scrapyard Defence.

Tier 2

Objective: Locate the second batch of defences

Return to the front of the scrapyard (605,665). The second batch of defences are green barrels across from the first batch.

Objective: Pick up one of Edgar's toys

Pick up any one of the green barrels.

This replaces the Ability Bar with Edgar's toys from before alongside a new toy - the Gunk Barrel.

  • Gunk Barrel - Special Ability. Place a barrel at your feet. The barrel taunts and snares enemies in a 3 meter radius and will explode after 15 seconds. You don't want to know what is in this barrel... Instant cast. 12.0 second cooldown.
  • Abandon Defence - Special Ability. Put down Edgar's defences to resume normal combat. WARNING - You will not be able to use Edgar's toys again without restarting the defence. 3.0 second cast. Instant cooldown.

Objective: Place a Gunk Barrel near the barricade

This time go to the western Scrapyard Barricades (590,650) and use Gunk Barrel near them.

Objective: Go to the assault starting point

This objective automatically completes, as the previous objective requires that you already be at the assault starting point.

Objective: Defend the barricades

Defend the Scrapyard Barricades from three waves, each consisting of 4 Draug Raiding Party and 2 Draug Raid Mistwitch per wave. Use all abilities available to you, as with before.

Failure Objective: The barricades fell. Return to Edgar

If the barricades were destroyed and the defence failed, return to Edgar (610,675). Doing so will restart the Tier from the beginning.

Tier 3

Objective: Locate the third batch of defences

The third batch of defences are along the western set of barricades along the scrapyard (590,730).

Objective: Pick up one of Edgar's toys

Pick up any one of the brown barrels containing Edgar's toys.

This grants all of Edgar's previous toys plus a final toy from the third defence batch: Trash Barrel.

  • Gunk Barrel - Special Ability. Place a barrel at your feet. The barrel taunts and snares enemies in a 3 meter radius and will explode after 15 seconds. You don't want to know what is in this barrel... Instant cast. 12.0 second cooldown.
  • Trash Barrel - Special Ability. Place a barrel at your feet. The barrel stuns enemies in a 3 meter radius and will explode after 5 seconds. The stench is indescribable. Instant cast. 8.0 second cooldown.
  • Abandon Defence - Special Ability. Put down Edgar's defences to resume normal combat. WARNING - You will not be able to use Edgar's toys again without restarting the defence. 3.0 second cast. Instant cooldown.
  • Pulse Grenade - Special Ability. Throw a pulse grenade, dealing moderate damage to up to 3 targets in a 5m radius. How did Edgar manage to cobble together something so effective? 1.0 second cast. Instant cooldown.
  • Flaming Barrel - Special Ability. Place a barrel at your feet. The barrel sets enemies on fire in a 3 meter radius and will explode after 15 seconds. Instant cast. 10.0 second cooldown.

Objective: Place a Trash Barrel near the barricade

Use Trash Barrel at the nearby Scrapyard Barricade (580,725).

Objective: Go to the assault starting point

This objective automatically completes, as the previous objective requires that you already be at the assault starting point.

Objective: Defend the barricades

Defend the single Scrapyard Barricade from five total waves.

The first four waves consist of a mix of Tar Man, Draug Raiding Party, and Draug Raid Mistwitch. Each of these first four waves has one more enemy than the last, with wave 1 starting at 7 enemies and wave 4 being an assault of 10 enemies.

The final, fifth wave is an enormous Raiding Warmonger. Defend the Scrapyard Barricade at all costs and defeat the Warmonger.

With the Raiding Warmonger defeated, the onslaught ends and the barricades are successfully defended.

Failure Objective: The barricades fell. Return to Edgar

If the barricade was destroyed and the defence failed, return to Edgar (610,675). Doing so will restart the Tier from the beginning.
