Mission Description

An arcane tome has been carelessly discarded out in the open. A book of this nature should be protected and kept from wandering eyes, or hostile forces.

Tier 1

Task Description

The book is sealed and one can only speculate about what dark secrets it contains. Better put the book somewhere relatively safe until it can be studied in detail.

Objective: Pick up the arcane tome

Take the book from the chair.

Objective: Kill the wisps defending the tome

Trying to pick up the tome will cause a total of three (3) Agitated Ghostlights to attack. They appear sequentially in singular waves every 45 seconds after the first Agitated Ghostlight for a total of 3 waves consisting of 1 Agitated Ghostlight. Killing an Agitated Ghostlight will cause the next Agitated Ghostlight to spawn shortly after the previous Agitated Ghostlight has died. All three Agitated Ghostlights will eventually attack regardless if enough time has passed.

Kill them all to stop their assault.

Objective: Pick up the arcane tome

With no more ghostlights in the way, the tome is free for the taking.

Picking up the arcane tome will knock you back in a vortex of chaos magic. It will disappear for the next 60 minutes. The tome does not like being picked up.

Tier 1 Fail

Fail Task Description

You've failed to defeat the wisps guarding the Arcane Tome.

Fail Objective: Regain your strength and then try again

Dying or leaving the mission area initiates a 10 second timer. If you do not return or resurrect into the mission event area within 10 seconds, the wisp assault will fail and you will need to wait 15 seconds to regain your strength before you will be able to pick the arcane tome back up and face the wisps again.

Wait 15 seconds to automatically complete this fail task.
