An exciting roleplaying event is upon us in Secret World Legends! Please note that TSWDB is not the host of this event. We simply want to spread the word, sweetlings!
Join Roleplayer "Drina" of Happy Tentacle Radio for the "Haunted New York Ghost Tour" as she takes her guests on a tour of the DUMBO neighborhood of New York with spooky stories and local legends all along the way through haunting roleplay and accompanying audio and music starting all starting at the Brooklyn Bridge Park (430.5, 313.8, y 50.3 1100) in New York, New York, at 09:00 PM EDT (01:00 UTC) on 24 October 2026! Mind the Anima Well while you're there!
The Haunted New York Ghost Tour is the first variant of haunted ghost tours that started with the Haunted Ealdwic Ghost Tour. The Haunted Ealdwic Ghost Tour has been a staple of Secret World Legends' roleplaying community events ever since the ghost tour's inception by Roleplayer "Craft" in 2012! Since 2020, "Drina" has held the reins and continues to take Secret Worlders on the Haunted Ealdwic Ghost Tour as his successor. The Haunted New York Ghost Tour honours both "Craft" and his crafts with stories brought together by "Drina"! For this first edition of the Haunted New York Ghost Tour, all stories will be read live and are subject to change!
The first spooky story will be told at the Brooklyn Bridge Park starting any time between 09:15 PM EDT (01:15 UTC) and 09:30 PM EDT (01:30 UTC), giving people 15-30 minutes to gather from the start of the event. The tour will then walk around the New York playfield to each ghost story's destination. Meet Up on "Drina" to ensure you are in the correct instance of New York! If you wish to join the tour after it has left the starting point, please whisper "Drina" to find out where the tour currently is in the playfield.
The tour will eventually end with an afterparty of roleplay and music alike!
This event is a roleplaying event. Messages in /say and /emote vicinity channels will be In-Character unless otherwise specified as Out-Of-Character. Out-Of-Character messages are typically denoted with double parentheses or double brackets. The host will be regularly engaging with attendees, and stories will be told In-Character both in vicinity chat and on the air at Happy Tentacle Music with accompanying ambience! Roleplaying is not necessary to enjoy the stories so long as you are respectful to others.
Audio for this event will be found HERE: Happy Tentacle Radio Mixlr. A recording will be made available after the event ends.
An announcement on the Funcom Forums for the Haunted New York Ghost Tour will be available soon!
This event was first announced by Drina on Bluesky.
We will be attending and taking screenshots aplenty, sweetlings!
