.The Talos of Verdancy is a 40-player Open Raid encounter available during the Anniversary Event in Agartha.
Task Description
Gaia forms elemental constructs to test and reward her champions, but something went wrong... and the hulking automaton turned deadly. Fortunately, you helped bring this corrupted Talos down before it could cause undue harm. Now claim your reward.
Upon defeating the Verdant Talos, the raid mission The Talos of Verdancy will be applied to all participants in the instance. Within seconds of receiving the mission, it automatically completes.
Defeating the Verdant Talos gives the buff Anima Surge, which allows a player to open a [Buzzing Hive] during its 10 minute duration. Only one [Buzzing Hive] can be opened per Anima Surge effect.
Agartha will expel players from the raid instance shortly after defeating the Verdant Talos within. Removal from the instance is staggered to reduce server lag, so some players will be teleported out first and others may have to wait a few seconds to leave the instance.
The Talos of Verdancy gives a [Genizah of Verdancy] upon turn-in. In addition, it rewards 1 [Animated Particulate] for First-Time Completion. This mission has a 30-minute cooldown.
For more information on the contents of Buzzing Hives, the Genizah of Verdancy, Animated Particulates, the Talos of Gaia, or the Anniversary Event itself, see our Anniversary Event Guide!
The Immaculate Machine has initiated the education protocols, desiring to teach Her bees how to best protect Her. Unfortunately for the bees, something has corrupted all of the Talos of Gaia that have been created for teaching purposes, including the Verdant Talos.
The Verdant Talos is one of the 40-player Open Raid encounters accessible in Agartha through the Vibrant Agartha instance, which will always contain 1 Talos of Gaia raid boss out of a total of 11 different Talos of Gaia raid bosses found within Vibrant Agartha. Every hour at 00:02 minutes past the hour, the portal to Vibrant Agartha becomes active for 10 minutes. While bosses inside may last after that period of time, no more may enter to face a Talos once those 10 minutes have passed. An instance of Vibrant Agartha will close 30 minutes after the first player has entered that instance regardless of whether or not the Talos of Gaia is engaged in combat.
The Talos of Gaia present within Vibrant Agartha rotates every hour.
There are no level requirements necessary to enter and face the Verdant Talos. A player only needs to have met Jack Boone in Kingsmouth Town in order to participate in the raid.
The portal to Vibrant Agartha can be found between the Agartha Pad to the Training Grounds and the Transylvania region just outside of the Hollowed Halls (550,250). It is festively decorated with balloons, piñatas, and streamers.
Players within Vibrant Agartha are buffed with Equal Footing so that their stats are scaled evenly regardless of their level or item power.

The Verdant Talos is permanently immune to Stuns, Knock Downs, Obstruction, Roots, and Snares.
The Verdant Talos slams its fists down upon the head of a chosen target in a Head Bang as its generic attack. Head Bang is a single target Melee Strike with a 1.75 meter range that deals physical damage and has a 2.75 second cast time and Instant recast time.
The Elder Forest is full of life, and as such the Verdant Talos encourages Overgrowth upon Gaia. The Verdant Talos raises its right arm and urges the ground beneath the Talos' target to grow rapidly with plantlife as it casts the 6 meter radius Magic GTAoE PGE Overgrowth on a target within 80 meters of the Talos. Overgrowth has a 2 second cast time and a 10 second recast time.
The Persistent Ground Effect of Overgrowth lasts 35 seconds. Every 0.5 seconds it rapidly ticks and deals a small amount of physical damage to all enemies within its 6 meter radius.
The veracity of a corrupt Talos of Gaia is not to be overestimated, nor is its voracity to be underestimated. The Verdant Talos raises its right arm as ruinous Treacherous Growth gathers in its grasp with a 1 second cast time and a 20 second recast time. It casts the 7 meter radius 360 degree Ranged GTAoE PGE Treacherous Growth on a target within 7 meters of the Talos.
The Persistent Ground Effect of Treacherous Growth lasts 30 seconds. Every 1 seconds it causes all of the Verdant Talos' enemies within the PGE's 7 meter radius to be Snared as their movement speed is reduced by 70% for 4 seconds and they become Hindered. The Hinder Snared is subject to Diminishing Returns and will be weaker on subsequent afflictions of Snared within a short 14 second timeframe.
The Talos of Verdancy is eager to pin its foes in place with its Treacherous Growth so that they are more likely to be caught within its Overgrowth and Rock Clash.
VISUAL BUG: The visual effect used by the Persistent Ground Effect (PGE) of Treacherous Growth lasts 15 seconds; however, the PGE itself lasts 30 seconds. Therefore there will be an invisible area of effect applying Snared for 15 seconds after the mossy patch particle effect has disappeared.
The Verdant Talos leaps up into the air and slams its great fists down in a Rock Clash centered on a target within 7 meters of the Talos. The Rock Clash is a 360 degree GTAoE with a 7 meter radius and a 4 second cast time and 10 second recast time. Rock Clash is initially cast 3 seconds after engaging the Verdant Talos in combat, with subsequent casts adhering to the 10 second recast time.
The Rock Clash of the Talos of Verdancy deals a small amount of physical damage to anyone hit by it.
VISUAL BUG: The Verdant Talos does not animate while casting Rock Clash and therefore the only indications of this spell being cast are through the cast bar of the Verdant Talos and the GTAoE visual on the Verdant Talos' target.
