General Information

Praise be to the Immaculate Machine! It's time for the Secret World Legends Anniversary!

The Anniversary currently consists of the hourly Talos of Gaia raid bosses, the summonable Gatekeeper raid boss, and a plethora of piñatas.

Agartha itself is decorated for the celebration! Balloons aplenty, banners, streamers, and even piñatas can be found throughout the World Tree and its Hollowed Halls. Many of Agartha's inhabitants are dressed for the occasion, a number of them wearing bee sweaters of bee-themed party hats!

Piñatas

Adorable piñatas can be found all throughout the Hollowed Halls of Agartha during the Anniversary event. Colorful custodian and bee piñatas sprout from new growths, the Immaculate Machine providing a plentiful supply of piñatas for all.

To open a piñata, a Piñata Basher must be used. Piñata Bashers can be found nearby the small growths holding the piñatas up. At least three open inventory slots are necessary to pick up a piñata basher. While using the Piñata Basher, the action bar swaps to a single ability.

Piñatas reward candies to players once per day alongside a small number of Anima Shards. If a player desires to break multiple piñatas in a day, they will instead receive solely Anniversary Flares for every piñata after their first.

When destroyed, players who struck the piñata receive one of the following:

• [500 - 1000 Anima Shards]
• [Honey Drops] x 5 - Hard candies made from agarthan honey. Increases your out of combat health regeneration rate and creates a trail of anima at your feet. Consumed on use.
• [Honey Stick] x 5 - A tube of pure agarthan honey. Increases your out of combat health regeneration rate and attracts a swarm of bees. Consumed on use.
• [Festive Candy Chews] x 5 - Colorful chewy candies. Increases your out of combat health regeneration and creates a burst of confetti.
• [Weapon Skin: Whammo! Baseball bat] - Unlocks the Whammo! Baseball bat hammer weapon skin in the Dressing Room.
• [Anniversary Flare Gun] x 5 - Activates the Anniversary Flare Gun effect. Consumed on use. Only dropped by piñatas on subsequent kills.

The Beehemoth

The Beehemoth is an enormous bee-piñata that only appears when manually spawned at Funcom's discretion. There is no way to trigger the Beehemoth's appearance on your own. When spawned, they appear between the portals to Vibrant Agartha and the Gatekeeper's portion of Deep Agartha (495,240) in front of the jump pads on the Hollowed Halls platform.

Beehemoths must be fought using the Piñata Basher.

The following FIFO message will appear for all players present in the same instance of Agartha as the Beehemoth when it spawns:

Players among the swarm to defeat a Beehemoth at any given time are awarded the Spoils of the Beehemoth. Upon opening their first Spoils, one also receives Title: Beehemoth Slayer.

Due to the manual nature of the Beehemoth and the inherent irregularity of Beehemoth spawn schedules, it is HIGHLY advised that any player who sees a Beehemoth call out the Beehemoth in General Chat as well as any other channels they desire, such as Sanctuary chat, so that other players can Meet Up and join the Beehemoth-bashing fun!

Seasonal Sticker

All cosmetic items acquired during a seasonal event have their entries marked in the Dressing Room, Pet and Sprint UI, and Emote UI with a special seasonal sale icon that signifies that an item or items is acquired through the event. These icons are seasonally appropriate in shape. Seasonally acquired cosmetics are bumped to the top of their UI lists during the event for greater visibility.

For the Anniversary, the icon is a purple swirl. If ever unsure what cosmetics are exclusive for the Anniversary, just look to the spiral, sweetlings.

The Anniversary spiral was added with the Fourth Anniversary and as of yet does not cover every cosmetic associated with the event.

Daily Login Rewards

Each day during the Anniversary brings with it a unique seasonal Daily Login Reward available regardless of patronage status. Claimable on every character on an account, these rewards are in addition to the normal Daily Login Rewards. There are a set number of rewards and missing a day won't result in missing the reward for that day. There are typically 21 distinct seasonal login rewards for the Anniversary, but items are awarded for the entirety of the event and can be up to a total of 28 Login Rewards.

At this time, the honey-sweet skin denoting the Anniversary's seasonal Daily Login Rewards is not present when the reward length is less than 28.

The Talos of Gaia

Initiate the education protocol.

The Immaculate Machine has formed 11 different golems dubbed the Talos of Gaia for her bees. The Talos reside within Vibrant Agartha, waiting for players to come and face them and learn the benefits to defeating such powerful entities in Gaia's name.

Vibrant Agartha is a 40-player Open Raid accessible in Agartha containing a Talos of Gaia raid boss within. Every 00:02 minutes past the hour, the portal to Vibrant Agartha becomes active for 10 minutes. While bosses inside may last after that period of time, no more may enter to face a Talos once those 10 minutes have passed. An instance of Vibrant Agartha will close 30 minutes after the first player has entered that instance regardless of whether or not the Talos of Gaia is engaged in combat.

The portal to Vibrant Agartha can be found between the Agartha Pad to the Training Grounds and the Transylvania region just outside of the Hollowed Halls (550,250). Players within Vibrant Agartha are buffed with Equal Footing so that their stats are scaled evenly regardless of their levels or item power.

Defeating a Talos of Gaia gives the buff Anima Surge, which allows a player to open a Buzzing Hive within 10 minutes.

All 11 Talos of Gaia have their own associated mission which reward a Genizah of the associated Talos. Each mission has a 30 minute cooldown. It is entirely possible to face the Talos of Gaia multiple times while the Vibrant Agartha portal is open, but rewards will only be given on the first successful kill.

There are no level requirements necessary to enter and face the Talos. A player only needs to have met Jack Boone in Kingsmouth Town in order to participate in the raid.

Animated Particulates

For each Genizah a player opens, they receive 1 Animated Particulate. In addition, the First Time Completion rewards for each Talos' mission itself rewards an Animated Particulate.

When 5 Animated Particulates are used, the player will receive 1 random unowned Shem pet from any of the Talos they have faced prior to the moment of combining Particulates.

When there are no Shems left to receive, using Animated Particulates will instead dissolve and grant 1000 Anima Shards.

The Talos of Gaia Encounter Order

Every hour, a Talos will appear in Vibrant Agartha. Each hour, the particular Talos to appear differs. The Talos appear in order, repeating every 11 hours. Because of this, the time at which each Talos will appear differs each day.

The order is as follows:

The Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper is a 40-player Open Raid encounter available during the Anniversary Event in Agartha. The Gatekeeper's Gate serves as the portal to a unique version of Deep Agartha and must be opened using 11 Shards of Corruption filled with hatred and anger acquired from the Genizot of each Talos of Gaia.

The following FIFO message will appear on-screen when the Gatekeeper's portal to Deep Agartha has been opened:

A portal to Deep Agartha has opened on the main platform.

Once opened, the portal will persist for 10 minutes before closing again. Players can Meet Up on other players within the Gatekeeper's Deep Agartha until the instance has been open for 10 minutes, at which point the instance will no longer be accepting new players. Any Meet Ups after the instance has closed to new players will result in a new instance of Deep Agartha being opened instead.

The portal to The Gatekeeper's Deep Agartha can be found near the Hollowed Halls (500,175), opposite of the portal to Vibrant Agartha. When inactive, the Gatekeeper stands at attention in front of it.

Shards of Corruption

In order to open the portal to The Gatekeeper's portion of Deep Agartha and summon The Gatekeeper within, 11 Shards of Corruption must be used in front of the Gatekeeper's portal. Shards of Corruption are rare drops from the Genizot rewarded for defeating the Talos of Gaia.

Upon using a Shard by the Gatekeeper's platform, a vestige of the Shard‘s respective Talos' angst will dutifully run to its place in the circle surrounding the portal.

A player can use multiple Shards toward a summon; however, no Shard used is actually consumed unless the ritual is successful through the presence of all 11 Shards in a single instance of Agartha, and only Shards in that particular instance will be consumed. As long as 11 Shards are used in a single instance of Agartha, the portal will open for all instances of Agartha for exactly 10 minutes.

Buzzing Hive

During the Anniversary event, Buzzing Hives can be claimed alongside seasonal Daily Login Rewards. These honeyed hives can only be opened while affected by the Anima Surge buff acquired from defeating one of the Talos in Agartha. They can contain cosmetics galore!

Buzzing Hive Rewards

The Buzzing Hive bestow their gifts upon a person in a specific order. The first Hive opened will always have the same items unless all items being rewarded are already owned, as may be the case if a character has Legacy cosmetics from TSW.

If all items of a Hive tier are already owned, the following Hive's rewards will be given until there are no new rewards. Any Buzzing Hives opened when all cosmetic rewards are owned by the character opening them will instead reward 2,000 Anima Shards.

Bee Tee

Bee prepared with this Bee Tee received from Buzzing Hives as the Fourth (4th) prize! The male and female versions of the Bee Tee have their colors reverse. The male version is predominantly yellow with black stripes and the female version is predominantly black with yellow stripes.

Bee Logo Sweater

A plethora of pets are present for the Anniversary event.

Buzz Bumblepup

Buzz Bumlepup needs no introduction. This is a dog in a bee costume. A precious specimen of a pupper. Buzz Bumblepup is a rare potential reward from the Anniversary Cache.

Canine Custodian

The Canine Custodian is a good dog, robot or not. This custodial companion can be purchased from the Cache Locksmith for 500 Third Age Fragments during the Anniversary event. The Canine Custodian was unavailable during Anniversary 2019, but as that was unintended, it has rightfully returned to the Cache Locksmith as of Anniversary 2020.

Shem of Rage

This crystallized nexus of coalesced rage known simply as the Shem of Rage is rewarded from the Gate Crasher achievement for defeating the Gatekeeper in Deep Agartha.

Shem of Clay

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Clay will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Clay Talos at least once.

Shem of Concrete

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Concrete will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Concrete Talos at least once.

Shem of Frost

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Frost will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Frost Talos at least once.

Shem of Magma

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Magma will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Magma Talos at least once.

Shem of Sand

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Sand will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Sand Talos at least once.

Shem of Silver

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Silver will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Silver Talos at least once.

Shem of Stone

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Stone will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Stone Talos at least once.

Shem of Swarms

Shem of Technology

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Technology will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Tech Talos at least once.

Shem of Verdancy

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Verdancy will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Verdant Talos at least once.

Shem of Water

Rewarded randomly when using 5 Animated Particulates received from the Talos of Gaia Genizot. The Shem of Water will only appear as a possible pet through Animated Particulates after having faced the Water Talos at least once.

Sprint Rewards

Race around the World Tree in style! A number of sprints are available during the Anniversary event to give Gaia's bees a festive flair.

Plan "Bee"

Plan "Bee" is the Fourteenth (14) Daily Login Reward for the Seventh Anniversary, was the Fourtheenth (14th) Daily Login Reward for the Sixth, Fifth and Fourth Anniversaries, and was the Fifteenth (15th) Daily Login Reward for the Third Anniversary. The Malus Run

The Malus Run was the Seventh (7th) Daily Login Reward for the First Anniversary. When using this sprint, you flail around wildly as bees swarm your head, which is stuck in a beehive.

It was not available for the Second (2019), Third (2020), Fourth (2021), Fifth (2022), or Sixth (2023) Anniversary but may appear in the future.

Agarthan Wings, Faction

Wear bee wings as any good bee should - and do it in faction pride! These wings are colored according to faction and have the appropriate faction's logo on the back just to emphasize whose bee you really are. Agarthan Wings, Faction comes from the Anniversary Cache.

Confetti Trail

Acquired as the final unique reward from Buzzing Hives. Run with confetti spewing every which way with the Confetti Trail!

The Anniversary Cache is in rotation for the duration of the Anniversary event and has bee-themed cosmetics within. As with all Caches, it can drop for players off of any mob upon reaching Level 15 and must be opened with a Cache Key.

Emote: Make it Rain Confetti

Acquired from Buzzing Hives. This emote allows the player to spew a handful of glitter in front of them. Make It Rain Confetti has no slash command associated with it and must be used from the Emote UI.

Weapon Skins

Weapon Skin: Whammo! Baseball bat

One of the possible daily drops from breaking piñatas. It is a hammer skin in the appearance of a baseball bat.

Item Reward Bags

No event is complete without loot! Seasonal missions give special reward bags upon completion, which contain cosmetics or consumables depending on the bag. Bosses can also drop unique bags, as well. Some of the cosmetics within can typically be traded or sold to other players.

Genizah of Gaia

The Genizot of Gaia received from completing a Talos mission can contain any of the following, but will always reward one distillate and one cosmetic or consumable piece. Each Talos has its own Genizah according to its element. The Genizot always give 1 Animated Particulate, 1 Distillate and typically 1 other item when opened. The Genizot will roll independently for Museum Shards and Shards of Corruption, both of which are in addition to the normal Genizah rewards.

Spoils of the Hallowed Earth

The Spoils of the Hallowed Earth is rewarded for completing the mission, "The Gatekeeper" for defeating the enraged Gatekeeper raid boss within Deep Agartha. This bag will always rewards either 1 Distillate, 1 Amalgamated Assault Automaton, and 5 Anniversary Balloons, or 1 Distillate and 1 Cosmetic. If a player already has learnt a cosmetic available from the Spoils of the Hallowed Earth then it cannot be obtained again from the Spoils.

Spoils of the Hallowed Earth can be traded to other players or sold on the Auction House.

No other items are currently known to drop from this bag. Opening your very first Spoils of the Beehemoth will grant Title: Beehemoth Slayer, but it is otherwise not a normal part of the drop table.
